Coming Home

Danastine has a penchant for wearing tight miniskirts, bodycon minidresses, tights and boots that I normally would not be caught dead in. She's considered quite attractive (especially by Erik) and is a talented dancer as well as an incredibly talented singer, with a very impressive range. She is what is known as a "dramatic coloratura", although her voice is flexible enough to allow her to sing both lyric soprano roles and mezzo-soprano roles, and while light and airy, it's of a medium deepness for a woman and capable of projecting over entire orchestras.

Taken from wikipedia, "The dramatic coloratura soprano is a coloratura soprano with great flexibility in high-lying velocity passages, yet with great sustaining power comparable to that of a full spinto or dramatic soprano. Dramatic coloraturas have a range of approximately "low B" (B₃) to "high F" (F₆) with some coloratura sopranos being able to sing somewhat higher or lower."

Dana-Christine's range extends from A₃ to A₇.

Now, my vocal range is nowhere near this impressive, so it amuses me that hers is. I'm a soubrette with a slightly shifted range, from about B₄ to B₆.

If anyone is interested, Asmodeus's vocal range goes from C₁ to C₇ because non-human demon. If we had to define her, she would be a Wagnerian Soprano.


Anyway, back to the picture--Erik returns home after working on a new musical and is greeted by his lovely girlfriend.
